Finally the trip has begun

I arrived in London yesterday with all sorts of packages. It ended up being a simple van (just like an airporter) and I was dropped off at Mika and Gilad's apartment. Everything was ready for me here. They had put a delicious slow cooker on with lots of veggies. Fantastic at dinner. I got a hold of Mika and walked up to her office. We strolled back, bought a London SIM so I can call when necessary, and arrived safe, sound and dry. Love being here in London.

I fell asleep early, as I hadn't slept too well on the plane, which is kind of unusual. There was a beautiful full moon at about 3:30 which woke me up. Just a gorgeous night. M&G went off to work and I did more coordinating on my trip. Got a lot done, like balancing the ole check book, reading emails and feeling great about starting out.

Walked around the neighborhood, which is great. Mostly Africans and West Indians. Halal shops and hair weaving. Such a different culture. Got back to the apartment before the rain became too much. I didn't think it was right that I was in London for 24+ hours and it hadn't rained yet.

What a great beginning.
